EAST COURSE
2ND HOLE
PAR 4393 M
Sheltered by a stand of maple trees on the left side of the fairway, which also blocks the wind, and with Jeongmul Oreum looming close to the green, this hole offers a quiet, serene setting. Before choosing your line of play, take a moment to gauge the wind direction carefully. While most players instinctively aim for the distant bunker, a more strategic approach is to target the bunker and then the midpoint just to its right—this helps prevent your ball from rolling down the steep pasture slope beyond. At the second shot landing area, the fairway splits around a natural dry stream bed, and with a hazard lurking within 70 yards of the green, this right dogleg demands both strategy and caution. Decide whether to thrill yourself with an aggressive second-shot attack or opt for a safe third-shot setup. After your shot, you can stroll up the stone steps to the green, relishing the walk as much as the play. If you manage to reach the green in two, the stone staircase leading onto the island-style green will feel like marching confidently onto a winner’s podium.
